Jonathan Blum, Principal Deputy Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS), sat down with HCFI’s Carol Davis for a discussion of how the CMS leadership team is managing America’s Health Programs through the pandemic and beyond.
About Jon Blum
In May 2021, Jonathan Blum returned to government service as Principal Deputy Administrator of CMS. He previously served as Director of Medicare during the Obama administration. His previous government service also includes several years on the Senate Finance staff and at the White House Office of Management & Budget. His private sector experience includes senior leadership roles at Health Management Associates (HMA) and with CareFirst. He also helped build a successful practice at Avalere health Consultants. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Public Policy Degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Jonathan joined the Mary’s Center Board of Directors in December 2016
